How this story says one day

Stories need a way to tell you when something happened. This phrase sets the scene without giving a particular date.

روزیruzi also uses the ـی-i ending you just met. It means “one day” at the start of a story.

How this story says on the tree

A phrase is a few words that belong together. Here they tell you where something is. Read them as one small piece of the sentence.

رویru-ye“on” comes before درختderakht“tree”. Keep this location phrase separate from پرنده‌ای راparande-yi râ: the bird is the object, and the tree is where it is.
